I made this a few years ago for my son's birthday, but realized I hadn't added it to this blog. I carved it from a sheet cake. The wheels were made from RKT and it is covered in fondant.

Hot Pink/Turquoise wedding cake
It's been a few weeks, but with the craziness of moving put aside I have found myself with a few minutes to add these pictures to the blog. This one is similar to an earlier post. The grooms cake was chocolate with buttercream icing with the logo made from gumpaste. I rolled out gumpaste, cut the shape out and once it was dried hand painted the logo onto the gumpaste.

Gumpaste Roses with black ribbon Wedding Cake
The flowers on this cake are made from gumpaste. After attempting a couple different styles (the 5 petal cutter and just a round cutter) I decided to mold each petal one by one with the round cutter. It gave a much fuller/natural look to the roses. I sprayed the small white blossoms with a pearlescent spray prior to placing them on the cake. The customer brought me a picture of this cake but asked to have the colors changed and buttercream rather than fondant.

Gumpaste Orchid & Roses
This cake was made for the Assistant to the President at Emmanuel School of Religion. She has worked for 27 years and this is a cake I was asked to make for a retirement party. There were also 2 double layer full sheet cakes (not pictured).
The orchids and roses were molded out of gumpaste and carefully pieced together.
